How different are English ideas of the nation distinct from\, or similar to\, ideas of the nation that lie behind recent political development across Europe? \nJohn Denham is a Professorial Research Fellow in the Department of Politics and International Relations and Director of the Centre for English Identity and Politics. He was Labour MP for Southampton Itchen (1992-2015) and served as a Minister (1997-2003 and 2007-2010). His final Ministerial role was as Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government and he chaired the Home Affairs Select Committee (2003-2007). \nJohn Denham est professeur en « politique et relations internationales » à l’Université de Southampton et directeur du centre de recherche sur l’identité et la politique anglaises.
