Nous \u00e9changerons sur ce roman-sc\u00e9nario prot\u00e9iforme, qui suit les p\u00e9rip\u00e9ties du protagoniste Willis Wu, souhaitant passer \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9cran du statut de \u00ab\u00a0Generic Asian Man\u00a0\u00bb au r\u00f4le ultime, celui de \u00ab\u00a0Kung-Fu Guy.\u00a0\u00bb Sur le registre tragi-comique, ce r\u00e9cit donne corps et voix aux repr\u00e9sentations des minorit\u00e9s asiatiques sur la sc\u00e8ne de l&rsquo;identit\u00e9 am\u00e9ricaine.<\/div>\n<div>Charles Yu est aussi sc\u00e9nariste pour des s\u00e9ries t\u00e9l\u00e9vis\u00e9es; il a publi\u00e9 deux recueils de nouvelles et un autre roman.<\/div>\n<div>La discussion sera poursuivie de vive voix avec David Meulemans, directeur des \u00e9ditions Aux Forges de Vulcain qui ont publi\u00e9 en 2021 la traduction fran\u00e7aise sous le titre <em>Chinatown, Int\u00e9rieur<\/em> (trad. This novel written in the form of a film script guides us through the adventures of Willis Wu, the protagonist, who works as an actor and wishes to be promoted from the status of \u00ab\u00a0Generic Asian Man\u00a0\u00bb to that of \u00ab\u00a0Kung-Fu Guy.\u00a0\u00bb With a style that is at once comic and tragic, this novel voices the problematic place given to Asian Americans in the narratives of American identity.<\/em><\/div>\n<div><em>Charles Yu is also a screenwriter and published two collections of short stories and another novel.<\/em><\/div>\n<div><em>We will also receive David Meulemans (on site), who is the founder of the publishing house Aux Forges de Vulcain and published the French translation in 2021 with the title <\/em>Chinatown, Int\u00e9rieur<em> (trans.
