Maître de conférences en civilisation des Etats-Unis d’Amérique à Rennes 2 depuis 2008, mes recherches portent sur la théorie critique, la production culturelle, et l’histoire des idées. Je m’intéresse plus particulièrement aux travaux de Fredric Jameson, Gilles Deleuze, et de Jacques Derrida par rapport à la culture, la création/production culturelle et le capitalisme tardif. Je m’intéresse à ce qui peut-être dit ou entendu à un moment historique précis. Après une longue période de responsabilités collectives, je m’investis dans les cours d’ouverture sur la culture et « les topologies imaginaires » de notre moment contemporain ainsi qu’à la culture des Etats-Unis d’Amérique, ses régions, et leurs productions culturelles.
I have been an associate professor at the Université Rennes 2 since 2008, and my research has centered around critcial theory, cultural production, and the history of ideas. I’m particularly interested in the work of Fredric Jameson, Gilles Deleuze, and Jacques Derrida in relation to culture, cultural creation and production, and the period of « late capitalism ». I try to think about what can be « said » or « heard » at particular historical moments. After a long period of institutional service, I have turned to elective and transdisciplinary courses on culture and « imaginary topologies » of our contemporary moment as well as on the culture of the United States, its regions, and cultural industries.
