Development of a collaborative FLE space: Literature, Learning, Migration, Exile

DESCRIPTION

In partnership with the Matej Bel University of Banská Bystrica, Slovakia, and the Adam Mickiewicz University of Poznań, Poland, the European Erasmus + DECLAME’FLE project intends to take up the challenge of intercultural dialogue based on the Literature of Migration and Exile (LIME) and to offer teachers and trainers of French as a Foreign Language (FLE) Open Educational Resources (OER)

Coordinator: Elisabeth Richard

Team members: Christine Evain (UR2), Marie-Françoise Bourvon (UR2), Griselda Drouet (UR2), Katarína Chovancová (UMB), Mária Rošteková (UMB), François Schmitt (UMB), Monika Zázrivcová (UMB), Jana Pecníková (UMB), Bernadeta Wojciechowska (UAM), Joanna Górecka (UAM), Izabela Orchowska (UAM), Jędrzej Pawlicki (UAM), Małgorzata Czubińska (UAM).

OBJECTIVES

The main objective of this project is to create a collaborative digital space composed of didactic training resources and pedagogical materials that can be co-constructed and modified by the community. These OERs are based on a corpus of contemporary literary works exploring the dimensions of migration and intercultural dialogue.

The Project is Oriented Towards:

1. mastery of critical dialogue through understanding, interpreting and analysing life stories and narration (speaking to another person, speaking to oneself) in a foreign language;
2. reflecting on the other (their language, culture, background) and learning the language-culture;
3. the implementation of experiential classroom and project-based pedagogy.

TARGET GROUPS

The project targets two audiences: active teachers and trainers of FLE, through in-service training and future teachers of FLE, students of Masters in Language Didactics/FLE in initial training.

The DECLAME’FLE collaborative space will offer different tools to these two groups, allowing them to interact between peers and to modify, according to their immediate and long-term needs, their learning of FLE didactics, literature, language, and French culture by taking into account the current migration contexts.

A TRANSNATIONAL PROJECT

Synergy, emulation, respect for differences, and mutual enrichment are the key words of the DECLAME’FLE transnational partnership. Each partner shares their practices in tasks—as different as the professional training of teachers or the development of efficient pedagogical scenarios—which enhances expertise and participates in targeted change. The development of a collaborative space is a device conducive to the transformation of practices.
